EQUATORIAL DIALS
edls2.jpg (13008 bytes) This large equatorial dial with a 38cm (15") diameter scale and a base 28cm (11") diameter is set on a solid brass casting [ref EDLS]. 

It can also be offered without the special gnomons to correct for the equation of time as shown here. (See dial ref EDS) 


 
 

 A lovely dial with a scale and base of 23cm (9") diameter and adjustable for use at any latitude.  [ref ED]
Similar in size to the previous dial but it has a further adjustment for longitude and in place of the plain rod gnomon it has two specially shaped gnomons which automatically correct for the equation of time, thus reading directly in clock time. [ref EDS] The last two dials are of solid bronze except for the  special gnomons which are of brass.

The EDL dial is normally of brass but can be offered in bronze on request.

 These dials can be supplied with scales suitable for the northern or southern hemispheres.
